Official Announcement of My Second Book Project

Hello Everyone,

Hello everyone, Now that my first memoir, Run Elvin, is complete and ready for official publication, I am happy to announce my new project. This book will be my second non-fiction writing of what I consider to be a trilogy (Refugee Student Man: Navigation and Deviation in Exile). My working title of the new book is, The World I Know: An Open Letter to Mr. Thomas MacVoy. With this particular project, I plan to write a detailed account of my experiences as an undergraduate student at Huron University in London, Ontario.

A post to follow shall explain how this project developed and my encounter with Mr. Thomas MacVoy, a Londoner.

Thank you so much for being part of my journey, as I work very hard to be a better human and good citizen in the land we today know as Canada. Please, wish me luck, and feel free to reach out if you need to talk or have questions.

Keep well,

  1. How fascinating Gabriel. Sounds like a very interesting project. Tom MacVoy is my uncle and I think he is a brilliant photographer and a very special man. I will look forward to seeing & reading your work.

    1. Hi Kimberly, I am happy to learn that Tom is your uncle. Since my first day in Canada, we’ve been friends, and we have had serious conversations on existentialism. My aim with this project is to document these memories. He is a very good man.
